Practical Ways to Use Study Mode
Work through math problems
Ask it to demonstrate one problem and then give you a similar problem to solve independently.
Show me how to calculate compound interest step by step. Then give me a new example, but do not reveal the answer until I submit my work.
This helps separate recognizing a solution from being able to produce one yourself.
Untangle a science concept
When technical language becomes overwhelming, ask for a layered explanation.
Explain natural selection first in everyday language, then at a college level. Afterward, ask me to explain it back to you.
You can also request an analogy, comparison table, diagram, or sequence of events. Remember that analogies simplify reality, so return to the formal definition afterward.
Strengthen an essay
Study Mode can help you examine your argument without writing the paper for you.
Ask me questions that will help me refine my thesis. Point out unsupported assumptions, but let me revise the thesis myself.
You might also ask it to challenge your position, identify possible counterarguments, or evaluate whether each paragraph supports your central claim.
Practice a language
Use Study Mode for short conversations, vocabulary recall, grammar correction, and targeted practice.

For pronunciation, combine Study Mode with voice features when they are available in your app.

Also pay attention to your own effort. If you are repeatedly clicking past questions or asking for the answer immediately, Study Mode cannot force active learning. Pause, attempt the problem, and explain your reasoning—even when you are uncertain.

Study Mode can make mistakes. It may misread a file, misunderstand a question, use an inaccurate example, or confidently present incorrect information.
Verify its responses when:
- A claim affects a graded assignment
- Your instructor requires a particular method
